Bio ● Dr. Spears, M.D.

Dr. Spears is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati Medical School. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps and was trained as an allergist at Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington D.C. He trained in Internal Medicine and Allergy at the V.A. Hospital in Long Beach, California. He has served as Clinical Instructor in Allergy at Harbor U.C.L.A. Medical Center and was appointed Consultant to the Allergy Clinic at the Veteran’s Hospital at Long Beach.

Dr. Spears is board certified in Allergy and Immunology. He is a member of both the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy and Immunology. He has been in private practice in the local area since 1958 and was the founder of our Long Beach practice. He joined Allergy, Asthma & Respiratory Care in 2006 as a part time physician.
